Dispute Resolution

Preserve the record, check the contract route and compare remedies before escalating a commercial dispute. No general page can promise a result or timeline.

Build the dispute file

Start with the signed contract, amendments, orders and incorporated terms. Make a dated timeline of what was promised, delivered, accepted, invoiced and contested. Separate agreed facts from allegations and missing proof. Preserve original emails with headers and attachments, messages, payment records and inspection reports; screenshots alone may omit context.

Check the route before escalating

Read governing-law, notice, negotiation, mediation, court and arbitration clauses together. A formal demand or response may require prompt action, so organizing documents must not delay a time-sensitive step. Ask counsel in the relevant jurisdiction to test contract terms against current procedure, available evidence and enforcement prospects before selecting a forum.

Quantify and compare outcomes

Keep a source-linked ledger of payments, outstanding work, claimed loss and efforts to limit it. Distinguish invoices from estimates and a legal claim from a commercial negotiation. Compare the cost, timing and practical enforceability of each path. A settlement should define payment, releases and any remaining obligations clearly. No general page can promise a result or timeline.
